The Day Program is a specialized program provided by BI, aiming to prepare students under the age of 6 for the transition to school. We utilize the methods of Applied Behavior Analysis to target on-task behavior, individual and choral responding, cooperation & interactions with peers, self-care skills, transitions, and other skills that are required to increase participation and independence in a group environment utilized in school.
Each child has an individualized treatment plan that is developed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Clinical Supervisor. They are assigned to a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who works with them throughout the program. The program incorporates different activities where the kids get to transition throughout the day.
The following centers are incorporated, and students have goals for each center based on their areas of need:
- Imaginative play
- Reading
- Building
- Art
- Writing
- Circle Time
- Table time
- Music
- Outdoor Activities
- Playground
- Independent Living Skills
This daily schedule gives our kiddos creative and fun opportunities to explore, experiment, and develop positive behaviors, as well as gain social and independent living skills that promote school readiness and student independence.
We are so proud of our kiddos and the progress they are making. They are absolute superstars. If this is something that you are interested in, feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!
